MPA offers Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses and lunch events throughout the year for Paralegals. MPA is affiliated with the National Association of Legal Assistants. NALA offers the Certification Paralegal "CP" exam and Advanced Certified Paralegal, "ACP" credential.

What are NALA Certifications?

 

            “The American Bar Association defines certification as “a process by which a non-governmental agency or association grants recognition to an individual who has met certain predetermined qualifications specified by that agency or association.” Certification usually involves passing an examination established by the sponsoring organization and meeting specified educational and/or experiential requirements.” 

​

Obtaining the Certified Paralegal credential is different from being awarded a Certificate of Completion from a school or training program. The professional certification earned through NALA "signifies that a paralegal is capable of providing superior services to firms and corporations.

​

The American Bar Association recognizes the CP credential as a mark of high professional achievement. 

​
