NALA SCHOLARSHIP
Cengage Learning, as a proud partner with NALA, is pleased to introduce the ‘NALA Certified Paralegal Professional Scholarship Award’ to recognize outstanding professional achievement and excellence in the legal field.
To be considered for the scholarship award, nominees must meet the eligibility requirements for the Certified Paralegal (CP) exam (as established by NALA and outlined on www.nala.org). Additionally, qualified professionals must be nominated by a NALA Affiliated Association. They must be currently working as a paralegal at the time of both the nomination and receiving the scholarship award, in a nonfreelance and/or non-contractor position, and have worked as a professional paralegal in a nonfreelance/non-contractor position for at least the past 2 simultaneous years. Each nominee must also have a separate professional reference.

Monthly Luncheons
Our Speaker for the April, 25, 2013 luncheon will be Attorney Bernard Booth IV with Adams and Reese Law Firm who will be speaking on “Trial Prep”
The luncheon fee for all locations is $17.00, which includes parking for the Capital Club. Parking at Holmes Community College is free. Please let me know by 12:00 noon, Monday, April 22, 2013 if you plan to attend – and designate which location you will be attending. Please remember if you make reservations to attend the luncheon and do not attend, you will be responsible for the $17.00.
As in the past year with Skype, members can view the luncheon speaker individually but the method is now through Livestream. If you plan to participate via Livestream, please notify Bridget Breithaupt (bridget@mississippi.edu) and Rachel Nesbit (rnesbit@heilmanlawgroup.com ). You will be responsible for the full cost of the luncheon ($17.00).
